Big Picture Learning is committed to demonstrating our work through a variety of media in order to appeal to the multiple learning styles of each person.
Flicks, Clicks & Flips is a multi-media database of support materials for professional development workshops to sustain and transform education.
Each exercise contains a flick, a click, and a flip to help facilitate learning.
- A flick is a cut from a movie and or video that provides a context for the subject of the workshop.
- A click is a eureka or an a-ha moment in a movie that signals the deep understanding of the workshop.
- A flip is a new way to look at a situation in education; a way to look at a situation in education from both sides.
Each Flick, Click & Flip, has several elements that make it a complete learning experience. Feel free to play with the order in which you complete each task:
- Watch the Flick, pay close attention to the Click, and think about the Flip.
- Read the associated article and think about how it connects to the Flick, Click and Flip.
- Further consider the theme by completed the associated activity.
